The CARY5000/6000/7000 is an ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared spectrophotometer that can accurately measure the transmission, reflection, and absorbance of various optical components.
1. Average time: The higher the value, the smoother the curve and the worse the steepness.
2. Data interval: When the bandwidth of the narrowband filter is small, the smaller the data interval, the higher the spectral transmittance
3. Slit bandwidth SBW: The narrower the filter bandwidth, the smaller the fixed slit setting value, and the more accurate the spectrum obtained.
4. Baseline and switching point: high transmittance, high reflectance choose 100% baseline; Low transmittance, low reflectance choose 100% and 0% baseline. The switching point avoids peaks and smoothing areas.
When the absorbance value of the sample is higher than 4Abs, it can be regarded as a high absorbance sample. Measuring such samples requires the use of a post-optical path attenuator (balanced sample light path and reference light path signal) to obtain accurate spectral data. At the same time, parameters such as average time, fixed slit width, data interval, zero and 100% baseline correction are reasonably set.
